Patrick's 9 Month Appointment

Hello! Patrick had his 9 month appointment last week. As suspected, our boy is PERFECT! :) He weighed in at 22 pounds, which is in the 50th percentile. Perfectly average! The pediatrician showed us Parick's growth chart, which was pretty amazing to look at. Since he was so premature, he wasn't even ON the growth chart at birth - we had to pencil him in! After his birth, he has since SKYROCKETED. Now that he's nine months old, he finally tapered off. He had only gained a few ounces since his last appointment at 6 months. All of this crawling has been burning calories for my little man! He is 28.5 inches long, which is in the 75th percentile, and his head was 18.5 inches in diameter, also in the 75th percentile. YAY PATRICK!

His appointment also involved the last of his Hep B vaccination shots, and he also had to get a finger prick for blood for an anemia test and a lead level test. He took both things like a CHAMP. The worst was the finger prick, because they had to collect several drops. YOUCH!

We also had an appointment for Patrick at Cranial Technologies last week to do a growth adjustment on his DOC Band. That thing is working wonders! I attribute it to Patrick being able to sit up on his own so much better now, and you can actually SEE a difference when looking at his head. We are still working on muscle development, but it looks like it is WORKING! We are more than thrilled with this whole procedure. Patrick still seems completely unphased by the band, and EA and I have gotten very used to it. We have a whole new nighttime routine with it.

Here are a few photos of our little monkey, all taken over the last few days:

We hope you all have a wonderful week. We can't believe November is here already! Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. We'll post again soon! Until then...

Much Love - Ashley*
