GRADUATION!

Yesterday - May 17, 2009, Keaton graduated with Honors from Austin College, in Sherman, Texas. Keaton double -majored in Economincs and Business Administration. He received Summa Cum Laude status and was also awarded membership into the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Fraternity. Keaton has worked hard all 4 years in school, and I know these last 2 semesters has received a 4.0 grade point average. He has been working his butt off! Keaton even managed to land an amazing, top-notch job for himself that he staretd THE WEEK BEFORE graduation. What a champ! We are so proud of you, Keaton!

Here he is, shaking hands with College President Dr. Oscar C. Page. Dr. Page is retiring this year, but both Keaton and EA had the honor of attending Austin College under his reign. I thought it was really neat that he made a point to know each students name. He truly did - I heard him speak with EA on a couple of occasions and he even got it right! ("E.A." is pretty hard for most people to remember!) He gave a wonderful commencement speech. Between that and the gorgeous weather, it was a beautiful ceremony. GO KEATON GO! GREAT JOB! YOU ROCK!Do you think these two MIIIGHT be related?! HA! I can't tell you how many people over the weekend said "Oh EA, this MUST be your brother!" HAHA! Handsome boys!Proud Mom!Proud Dad!

Way to go Kathy and Hoppe - you've raised two extremely successful gentleman! And there's so much more to look forward to! We were all so thrilled that "Grandma" was able to make the trip up to see her baby grandson graduate from college!! WHAT A TREAT!

Thank you, Carl and Dianna "Tante Jo," for making the trip up for Keaton! We all enjoyed the visit.

It was so nice visiting Uncle Russell and Aunt Ann, too! Thanks so much for making the long trek up. AND ESPECIALLY for driving Grandma up. That was so, so nice of you!


This is Ian, Keaton's roommate for all 4 years at Austin College. The two got randomly selected to room together Freshman Year, and they stuck together ever since. I know they had some fun times together! CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!

This is Miles (The boys' roommate for the last 2 years), Keaton, and Ian. After the ceremony, they graciously hosted a BBQ for the families at their duplex. THANKS BOYS!

Patrick was there, too!!! He was an absolute angel baby! He was so good, considering we had to be so quiet during the ceremony, and then he got passed around a lot, too. Everyone wanted to visit with our cutie pie! He was also slightly sleep-deprived - this was not only Uncle Keaton's graduation weekend, but also Wildflower weekend in Richardson. My family was in town for the big event, too! Patrick stayed up late a few nights watching some GREAT concerts. He was such a trooper all weekend long! I think he was glad to see Kim's (the sitter) face this morning. :)
