BLUEBONNETS!

This is a beautiful time of year in Texas. For those of you who don't know, the Blubonnet is the State Flower. This is the best time of year to see it. We have a great patch of them here in Richardson. (Shiloh at PGBT for all of my fellow neighbors!)
Patrick is a VERY smiley baby. However, he doesn't do it on command just yet. It seems that, every time he catches site of Momma's camera, he turns the scowl on. (He gets this scowl from his Dad. I need to take a side by side photo of my two little trouble makers with this scowl.)
EXHIBIT A:

We moved locations and found a beautiful wildflower patch. Needless to say, Patrick was less than thrilled with the change of scenery.
EXHIBIT B:

They say that photographers, new and even experts, have to take HUNDREDS of photos to just get "the perfect shot." Well, EA and I definitely took a TON of photos, and came up with nothing. Zilch. Zip. Nada. Zero. Our 13 week old was not cooperating, but that's OK! The bluebonnets will be back next year! We'll keep practicing with Patrick - hopefully he'll have the whole "say cheese" thing down by then! :)

I love bluebonnet pictures! This is the first year we didn't get a picture of Allie in them.
